What's in the bag?
The simple answer is, what is in season!
The bag will contain a healthy mix of fresh veg, roots, leafy greens, salad and herbs that will change week-to-week based on what is seasonally available. We know receiving the same thing every week is not fun and plan our bags and growing to keep them different each week.

Be warned, if you’re hoping for tomatoes in March, you’ll be in for a disappointment!
You can expect:
-
June-December: cucumbers, tomatoes, courgettes, beans, salad, chard, pak choi, fresh herbs, beetroot, onions, garlic....etc.
-
Jan-May: squash, cabbages, leeks, winter greens, kale, chard, potatoes, carrots, cauliflower, beetroot...etc.
I don't like radish.. no, no ... i love it!!
We get it, not everything works for you.
You can ask for a substitution on something and we’ll try swap it out. This will usually be limited to 1 veg.

To keep up variety through the seasons, we will supplement the bags with veggies from fellow organic growers in the local area (Grow Green, Farrington’s, Close Farm, Avonleigh Orchards, Kenson’s and The Community Farm). Once we've exhausted what's local, we'll work with ethical organic wholesalers Watson and Pratt and Organic North to fill in the gaps and support other farms with a fair price.
As we enter winter, we’ll rely more on surrounding farms during this 'Hunger Gap' season of scarcity- you can't grow it all, all year!

Regenerating communities and agriculture
We are a regenerative enterprise Community Interest Company (CIC) that operates with a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) ethos

Please read our ‘About us’ page, you can see we’re in this to drive a beneficial and regenerative change to the way food is produced and distributed around Bath to be equally fair to food citizens, farmers and the planet.
By regularly supporting us through the season as your supplier of veg, you become part of this positive change. We can count on each other throughout the season, no matter the weather!

We uphold the Community Supported Agriculture ethos and believe in the re-balancing of the producer-consumer relationship (read more from the CSA Charter here). We wish to create a community that shares the responsibilities, risks, and rewards of your food production in a spirit of mutual trust and openness.

Want to try without commitment?
-
If it's your first time having a seasonal veg bag or you’re looking to see what the veg and its variety is like, you can dip your toes in the water with our 3-week trial.
-
If the veg deliveries don't work for you after your 3 weeks, let us know by dropping a message to stop and return your bags to us for us to return your bag deposit.
Did you say "free bag"?

-
When you pay up-front for a whole season (Jan-May or June-December).
-
Encourage someone to see through our 3-week trial and we’ll give you one week’s veg bag for free! Ask your friend to create a promo code through their account for you to use
We need to talk...
You receive a regular bag but something has come up or it’s stopped working for you?
-
We ask for your consideration in giving us a week's notice if you intend to cancel
-
Your food is planned, sown, grown and cared for up to 3 months before delivery: this practice demonstrates your shared ownership and acknowledgment of the risks farmers face in bringing food to your home
-
If you've missed the deadline and don't need your veg, let us know so we can donate it to a charity aiding food poverty
-
We all need time off
Your food won't stop growing if you're away one week so we ask for your consideration and help against the risks we face in food waste and farm stability.

-
We need a week's notice on pauses or changes.
-
Order cut-off Friday 3pm before delivery week.
-
-
Think about offering your bag as a donation to a local charitable initiative
-
e.g. Julien House Homeless Shelter
-

We will deliver year-round with a ‘break’ at the end of the year for us growers: 2 weeks around Christmas/NYE
* Payment Options *
1) Weekly Direct Debit
-
When you order your first bag, you'll set up your payment card on our customer platform (Oooobly) to allow automated payments every week after delivery has been made.
2) Sliding scale - let's support each other!
Buying well-produced veg for the right price might be something you aspire to do but the monthly outgoings don’t allow. The current economic system is stacked against farmers and low-income families seeking good food.

-
You can be a ‘Supporter’ and donate £3 a week to another customer in need
-
You can be ‘supported’ anonymously and have -£3 off your bag a week
-
This information isn't shared or 'means tested'; if the assistance helps we hope you'll make use of it and we're grateful to those who offer it.
3) Supporter member - CSA style!
Are you in a financially comfortable position?
Most farming costs hit at the start of the season with seed purchase and 2-3 months of labour costs before we can even harvest and sell our crops. CSA (Community Support Agriculture) means the grower and eater form a symbiotic relationship whereby the latter supports the farmer's livelihood, lessening the financial risk the farmer takes in providing food for people with no guarantee of payment meanwhile, the farmer can focus on providing the supporter with good produce throughout the season.

You can give us an extra hand by paying for a season* in one upfront payment, enabling us to minimise waste and become more resilient as a farm producing food for you.
Through this payment model, we ask for the full (30 weeks) or half-season (15 weeks) bag cost:
-
Bounty season: June - December (30 weeks);
-
or, Spring and Summer or, Autumn and Winter (15 weeks);
-
-
Hungry Gap- January to May (20 weeks)
-
You’ll get one bag free a season for full upfront or half price on a bag for half-season.
-
And special offers on courses, events and more.
Ready to "beet the system"?
Well done, you've read it all!
